Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game.

Reading biographies of famous rich people, you’ll notice that in most cases, money was not the driving factor for their ascension. Most of them were driven by passion, by the need for adventure, for exploration, or for knowledge.

Take Donald Trump for example: he has built an empire, not for the financial reward (which came, anyway), but for the excitement that is playing the game. His vision of money as a way to keep the score of the game is very interesting, and if we think that at least once he was almost broke, we realize that sometimes he has just ignored the score and kept on playing.

What about you: are you in for the money? Do you do your job only for the paycheck? Do you suffer every single work day, from 9 to 5, only to be able to support yourself and your family?

It shouldn’t be like that: if only you could define your dreams and make them come true, then you’ll be mixing the family support with the pleasure of doing what you really enjoy. If you like your trade, every new day is a reason of joy, a reason for new discoveries, new learnings, or maybe new disciples that you’d lead on the same path as you followed.
